ನಗುವಾಗ ನಕ್ಕು... / 'Naguvaaga Nakku...'

“Naguvaaga Nakku...” (“We laughed while we did”) is a contemporary Kannada play about a mother and daughter caught between the ideologies of two generations. It is the story of a modern urban woman in the corporate world who seeks her identity through her poetry.

In this play we have attempted to bring together text, poetry, movement and music as the language of the performance. This play was created in collaboration with movement director Veena Basavarajaiah, musician Mahesha Swamy and theatre artists Laxmi Chandrashekar, Rajashree S R, Sunil Bannur, Vinay Kumar and Akhshay Gandhi.

The script attempts to use text, poetry, movement and music to bring out the narrative.
